MANCHESTER UNITED are plotting a stunning double swoop for Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku.

United are looking to add more firepower to their squad with Louis van Gaal's side struggling for goals this season.

The Red Devils have scored just 24 times in 20 Premier League games with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial their only recognised strikers.

And according to reports, United want to raid two of their Premier League rivals for their star men.
The Daily Star report United's owners the Glazer family have given executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward the go-ahead to pursue £65million-rated Chelsea ace Hazard this summer on a contract worth £250,000-a-week.

A United source said: "The club has to be realistic and realise that signing Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo remains a long shot, which means alternative targets come into the equation.

"Eden Hazard is certainly one of those and the type of player United need if they want to start winning trophies again."

And United are also preparing a £40m move for Everton hitman Lukaku.

The Daily Mirror claim United will swoop for Hazard's Belgium team-mate at the end of the season after deciding against a bid in the summer.

Lukaku is joint top-scorer in the Premier League with 15 goals to his name this season.

United have also been linked with Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Southampton forward Saido Mane.
